The Banshee is one of the most dread-inducing undead creatures in the Dungeons & Dragons bestiary — not a mindless shambler, but a being of ancient anguish, bound to the world by vanity and sorrow. This sculpt captures her mid-manifestation: gaunt ashen skin stretched over a snarling jaw, hollow yellow eyes wide with fury, and a cascade of writhing tendril-like hair whipping behind her as her tattered robes billow and curl like smoke. Both arms reach forward — one hand splayed as though casting, the other clawing for the nearest living soul. She hovers just above the ground, her robes pooling in ghostly coils beneath her feet, giving her the unmistakable impression of something that no longer belongs to the physical world but refuses to leave it.
Three poses are available in this range, each capturing a slightly different angle of her mid-wail charge. This listing presents all three render angles of the same sculpt — if you are browsing the full Banshee range from Monster Atlas, check the other listings for alternate poses. She works equally well as a powerful undead encounter on the tabletop or as a display piece for horror and gothic fantasy collectors.
Suits adventurers who:
- Run horror-themed D&D campaigns set in haunted manors, cursed ruins, or the Shadowfell
- Need a visually distinct undead boss monster that commands the table
- Paint undead or pale-skinned figures and want flowing cloth and hair detail to work with
- Collect gothic fantasy miniatures for display shelves
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to retrieve a locket from the abandoned estate of a long-dead elven noblewoman. The locket is on the mantelpiece — right where the research said it would be. Unfortunately, so is she, still wearing the dress she died in, and she has been waiting three hundred years for someone to try and take it.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and decorative base are separate pieces and can be attached with super glue — the flowing robe and base interact closely, so the base is recommended for the best display result. Printed to a high standard; supports are removed before dispatch, though minor marks from the printing process are possible and can be addressed with light sanding before priming.
