These Barrel Mushrooms are a set of three distinct fungal scatter pieces, each one a bloated, leathery growth with a gaping hollow top and a mass of worm-like roots splaying across the base. They read immediately as wrong — too organic, too deliberate — the kind of thing a myconid colony might cultivate, or a dungeon ecosystem might simply grow around an old forgotten chamber. Each variation has its own silhouette: one tapers upward with a lipped, angled opening; another is squat and wide-mouthed with thicker, coiling tendrils; the third is taller with a smoother body and finer root detail. Together they suggest something between furniture and creature.

On the tabletop, these work brilliantly as environmental dressing for Underdark passages, myconid groves, or any location where the dungeon itself feels like it might be breathing. They're equally at home in a Ravenloft fungal lair or a druidic wildspace encounter.
