The Barghest is one of the most evocative fiendish beasts in the D&D bestiary — not quite a wolf, not quite a demon, but something predatory and wrong that lives in the spaces between those two things. This sculpt from Monster Atlas captures that duality with real conviction. The body is lupine and powerfully muscled, with rippling hide stretched over a frame built purely for violence. The mane erupts from the neck and shoulders in great layered fronds of hardened, almost scale-like fur, giving the creature a silhouette that is immediately distinctive on the table.
