Description

Bound to no contract but cruelty itself, the Barbed Devil does not negotiate — it simply reminds you of the cost of defiance.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is pose 02 of our Barbed Devil range by Novaminis, and it captures the creature mid-lunge — one clawed arm raised and raking the air, the other drawn back as if coiling for a strike. Every inch of its muscular frame is studded with vicious spines and jagged barbs, from its crown of thorns to its taloned feet. The open-mawed snarl and wide, aggressive stance give this sculpt a raw, predatory energy that reads immediately on the tabletop — your players will know, before you say a word, that something terrible is about to happen.

In D&D 5e lore, Barbed Devils — known in the Nine Hells as Hamatulas — serve as infernal sentinels and enforcers, guarding the treasuries and vaults of archdevils with sadistic loyalty. They impale, they grapple, and they relish suffering in equal measure. Whether you're running a descent into Avernus, a warlock's patron encounter, or a lawful evil scheme gone catastrophically wrong, this miniature brings that threat to life with real sculpting weight behind it. Equally at home on a display shelf as it is menacing your players across the battlemat.

Well suited for adventurers who:

  • Need a mid-tier devil enforcer for Nine Hells or infernal plane encounters
  • Are running Descent into Avernus or a similar hellscape campaign
  • Want a warlock patron's heavy, sent to collect on an overdue pact
  • Are building a painted collection of D&D fiends
  • Want a second Barbed Devil pose to vary the encounter

Encounter Hook:
The vault door was sealed by three archdevil sigils — but someone opened it anyway. Now the vault's guardian stands in the corridor, barbs still wet, counting the party with the patience of something that feeds on fear. It does not know who sent them. It does not care. It only knows that no one leaves without answering for the breach.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. If you'd prefer a different scale, just get in touch and we'll sort it for you. Available with or without a plain black base — the base comes unattached and can be secured with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with any high-detail miniature, minor marks can occasionally occur and are easily tidied up. Arrives fully cured and ready to prime and paint — or use straight from the box.

Mitz rolled Charisma. Simz rolled Charisma. Both succeeded. The humans had no say in any of this.
