Barbarian by Monster Atlas
Description
He came down from the northern passes with nothing but a great axe, a wolf-pelt cloak, and a name that warlords whisper when they think no one is listening.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This is a warrior forged by hardship rather than training — barrel-chested and broad-shouldered, with the kind of quiet menace that fills a room before he's said a word. His grey-streaked hair is pulled back in a long tail, his expression is set to something between controlled fury and cold calculation, and that great axe at his side has clearly seen more than a few campaigns. The runic belt buckle, tattered hide skirt, fur-lined boots, and bone-clasped wolf pelt all tell the story of a man who earns his authority the hard way. He fits equally at home as a grizzled PC barbarian, a fearsome rival, or the warlord your party has been warned about since session one.
This sculpt is part of the Monster Atlas barbarian range — a variation that captures him at his most composed: standing still, holding the axe low, biding his time. That stillness is almost more threatening than a raised weapon.
A solid choice for adventurers who:
- Need a grounded, physically imposing human barbarian for their PC or NPC roster
- Are running a northern wilderness, tribal conflict, or warlord-led campaign arc
- Want a characterful centrepiece for a display board or warband diorama
- Are painting a battle-worn warrior and want strong muscle and fur texture to work with
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the mead hall to negotiate safe passage through the Thornfell Valley — and find their contact already dead, his seat taken by a heavily built man with a great axe resting across his knees and no particular interest in talking. His name is Aldrek. He is open to a different kind of negotiation.
