The Banshee Knight Lady Shield is a warrior caught between mortality and the scream that never ends. Her armour is engraved with mournful faces — a weeping visage pressed into her breastplate, a howling mask embossed across her shield face, and sorrowful countenances etched into her greaves. Every surface of her plate tells the story of those she has outlived, or failed to save, or simply refused to release. The twin horns of her helm curl skyward like a crown that has long since shed its legitimacy.

In one hand she levels a long, clean longsword — the weapon of a knight who still remembers discipline even as her soul unravels. In the other she raises that distinctive kite-shaped shield, its screaming face a ward against the living and a badge of her torment. Her stance is steady, weight forward, blade angled outward — the posture of someone who has been in too many last stands to flinch.

The reverse of the sculpt reveals equally rich detail: scale-textured armour across her torso, layered plate at the waist, and the same mournful engravings wrapping around her legs. This is a miniature built to reward painters from every angle — washes pooling into recessed faces, edge highlights catching the curve of scale mail, and the shield boss demanding its own layer of attention.

She works brilliantly as a fallen paladin, a cursed anti-hero, a wraith-touched lieutenant serving a lich lord, or a standalone BBEG whose grief has calcified into something far more dangerous. Equally compelling painted in tarnished silver and bone-white, or in the rusted iron and black of a kingdom that no longer exists.

Particularly well suited to adventurers who:

• Need a commanding undead knight for their Ravenloft or Shadowfell campaign
• Are building an encounter around a fallen paladin or spectral guardian
• Want a centrepiece villain whose visual storytelling does half the Dungeon Master's work
• Are seeking a display piece that rewards careful blending and multiple highlight passes

Encounter Hook: The party enters the throne room of a long-dead kingdom. At the far end sits nothing — but before the empty throne stands the Banshee Knight, motionless, shield raised. She was the last loyal guardian of a queen whose name has been forgotten. She does not remember her name either. She remembers only that no one may pass — and the shield has not stopped screaming since the day the queen died.
