The Banderhobb is one of the most unsettling creatures in the D&D bestiary: a massive, toad-like aberration stitched together from shadow and malice, sent by hags and dark patrons to abduct, devour, and disappear. Both sculpts in this bundle capture the creature's grotesque physicality with extraordinary detail — bulging musculature straining against loose, folded hide, a gaping mouth bristling with jagged teeth, and that unsettling single eye half-sunken into a face that barely qualifies as one. One pose faces outward with clawed hands raised and jaws wide, mid-lunge and hungry. The other is caught mid-turn, its enormous bulk twisting with a disturbing suggestion of speed — a single arm raised, its back a wall of compressed muscle and sagging flesh. These are not background monsters. These are the centrepiece of an encounter your players will not forget.
Whether you're running a hag coven's abduction scheme, a shadow plane incursion, or a street-level horror in a city where people have been quietly disappearing, the Banderhobb makes an exceptional antagonist. Both sculpts are equally well-suited to display shelves as they are to the battlemat — the sheer sculptural quality of Yasashii Kyojin Studio's work rewards a detailed paint job and looks formidable even left in bare grey.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Want two distinct Banderhobb poses for the same encounter or a recurring threat across a campaign
- Are running a hag-controlled adventure arc and need a credible abduction threat
- Collect aberrations, monstrosities, or shadow-plane creatures for a curated display
- Enjoy painting large, texture-rich creature sculpts with plenty of surface detail to work with
Encounter Hook:
Three merchants vanished from the same district in as many nights — no struggle, no witnesses, no bodies. The party traces the disappearances to a storm drain beneath the market quarter, where something enormous and patient has been waiting in the dark, a half-digested signet ring still clutched in one massive, clawed fist.
This bundle includes both Banderhobb sculpts (poses 1 and 2) at a saving over purchasing them individually. Both are printed at 32mm scale and arrive ready for priming and painting, or straight onto the table as-is. As with all our miniatures, supports are removed prior to dispatch; minor surface marks are possible given the nature of the printing process and can be touched up easily.
