Mechanical Ballerina Xmas Ornament by Great Grimoire
Description
She spins on a single copper point-shoe, gears clicking softly beneath her skirts, her mechanical arm extended in flawless arabesque — and no one in the ballroom dares look away.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Mechanical Ballerina is a construct of uncanny artistry: half flesh, half clockwork, wholly captivating. Her ornately carved tutu frames intricate mechanical legs, while one arm remains elegantly organic and the other is a masterwork of exposed joints and segmented plating. The sculpt captures her mid-pirouette with extraordinary precision — weight on one pointe shoe, free leg raised, human hand extended overhead in a gesture of serene authority. A flower ornament sits in her hair, and her bodice is richly decorated with scrollwork flourishes. She is equally at home as a cursed automaton in a Ravenloft ballroom, a Warforged entertainer in a wealthy patron's court, or the centrepiece of a steampunk diorama.
Whether you're setting a scene of eerie elegance or simply want a genuinely distinctive piece for your display shelf, this miniature rewards a careful paint job — the mechanical details on her arm and leg offer a wonderful contrast against the soft folds of her tutu and the delicate features of her face.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run Ravenloft, steampunk, or clockpunk campaigns and need an unforgettable NPC
- Want a Warforged or construct character with genuine elegance and menace
- Are building a display diorama around a theatrical or ballroom setting
- Enjoy painting contrasting textures — organic cloth and skin against hard mechanical components
- Collect characterful minis that work equally well on the table and on the shelf
Encounter Hook:
The party is invited to a winter gala at a noble's estate — all candlelight and string quartets. At the centre of the dance floor, a single ballerina performs without music, without stopping, without blinking. She has been dancing for three days. When the rogue gets too close, the mechanical arm snaps out and seizes their wrist, and a voice like a music box says: "You are here about the mirror. Come. Dance with me first."
