Description

It doesn't hunt by sight or sound — the Balhannoth hunts by desire, drawn inexorably to whatever its prey wants most, then waits in the dark for them to come to it.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Balhannoth is one of the Underdark's most unsettling predators. Part ambush predator, part psychic lure, this aberration sculpts its lair to mirror the hopes and longings of those who wander near — then strikes when its victims are most disoriented and vulnerable. The sculpt captures that grotesque menace with four barbed tentacles raised and ready, a wide maw stretched open in silent threat, and a hunched, bestial body bristling with horn-like protrusions. The teal resin render shows off the creature's surface texture beautifully — ridged, layered, and deeply unsettling in all the right ways.

Whether you're using this as a centrepiece encounter in a deep-earth campaign or adding it to a display shelf of aberrant horrors, this sculpt brings real weight and character to the table. Its distinctive silhouette — those four spine-tipped tentacles splayed wide — makes it immediately readable from across the battlemat, which is exactly what a boss monster needs.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Run Underdark campaigns and need a psychic predator encounter
  • Want a striking aberration boss for D&D 5e or other TTRPGs
  • Collect aberration-type monsters for display or painting projects
  • Are building a Underdark lair encounter with environmental dread

Encounter Hook:
The party finds an abandoned campsite that looks eerily like the inn they've been travelling towards for three days — same sign, same smell of stew, same flickering lantern light. When the ranger moves to investigate, the first tentacle drops from the ceiling.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and base are separate pieces, designed to be attached with superglue — note that some sculpts interact meaningfully with their decorative bases, so the base is well worth including. Supports are removed prior to dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before priming.
