Every adventuring party eventually needs information, a safe house, or simply a warm loaf of bread — and the baker knows more about the town's goings-on than anyone gives him credit for.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This is the first variation of Novaminis' Baker sculpt — a stout, no-nonsense tradesman caught mid-stride as he carries a wooden tray laden with freshly baked loaves. He wears a flat baker's cap, a long apron over sturdy working clothes, and laced shoes worn from long hours on the bakehouse floor. The detail on the bread tray is particularly well observed — individual loaves sit in rows, giving the whole piece a grounded, lived-in quality that lifts it above a generic townsfolk figure.
This is the kind of miniature that transforms a market square or tavern scene from a backdrop into a believable world. Painted up in warm ochres and earthy browns, he'd anchor any urban encounter tile, trading post diorama, or settlement board with quiet authority. He also works exceptionally well as a display piece for painters who enjoy the challenge of everyday textures — bread, linen, leather — over the flash of armour and magic.
This listing is for the Baker 01 variation. If you're building out a full market-day scene, look out for additional baker and townsfolk sculpts from the Novaminis range.
Well suited for adventurers who want to:
- Populate market squares, village streets, and trading post encounters
- Add believable civilian life to urban or tavern-based campaigns
- Use a characterful NPC as a quest-giver, informant, or background figure
- Paint a rich, everyday subject as a palette-cleanser between heroic minis
- Build out a display diorama with detailed townsfolk and scatter
Encounter Hook: The party arrives in Millhaven just as the dawn market opens — but the baker's stall is the only one fully stocked, and his prices have halved overnight. When a Perception check reveals the loaves are unnaturally warm despite the cold morning air, someone starts asking questions. Is he under duress? Is the flour enchanted? And why does the mill wheel keep turning when the river has run dry?
