The Bagman is one of tabletop gaming's most unsettling urban legends made manifest: a creature that hides in plain sight, concealed within an ordinary sack, striking with a long, grasping limb when prey draws too close. This sculpt from Primal Collectibles' Legacy of Blood range captures the Bagman mid-reveal — a hideously elongated crimson arm bursting upward from a stitched, bloated body-bag form, taloned feet gripping the base as the creature rises. The detail across the bag's leathery, quilted skin and the sinew-stretched reach of that reaching arm makes this a genuinely unsettling piece on the table or the shelf.

Three angles are available in the render images, each showing the full sculpt from a different perspective: front-on with the hand open in a grasping pose, a side view revealing the bag's clawed base feet, and a rear angle highlighting the creature's segmented, stitched torso. All renders show the piece in unprimed red, giving a clear view of the surface detail before painting. This is a display-quality sculpt that rewards a careful paint job — deep washes in the bag folds, desaturated flesh tones on the arm, and dark lining along the claw tips will bring this horror to life.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Run horror-tinged campaigns in settings like Ravenloft or gritty low-fantasy worlds
  • Want an iconic D&D 5e monster that will genuinely unsettle players at the table
  • Enjoy collecting and painting creatures with rich, tactile surface texture
  • Need a memorable boss encounter or recurring threat for an urban or inn-based adventure

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to investigate a string of disappearances along the trade road — travellers who checked into wayside inns and never left. When they finally track the culprit to an abandoned coaching house, the rogue spots it first: a lumpen sack in the shadows of the common room, far too still, yet somehow breathing. The Bagman has been here for weeks. It has been waiting.

Scaled to 32mm. The model and base (if the base option is selected) are supplied as separate pieces for easy assembly with a small amount of glue — the model is designed to interact with its base, so the decorative base is strongly recommended. Supplied unprimed and ready for painting or use straight from the box.

Mitz rolled Charisma. Simz rolled Charisma. Both succeeded. The humans had no say in any of this.

Pairs well with monster encounters — build out your Ravenloft campaigns with more from Primal.
