Description

Something in the tidal caves has been stealing catches whole — not the fish, but the boats.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Part shark, part winged predator, part nightmare conjured from the deep — the Baby Sea Chimera is exactly the kind of creature that makes coastal campaigns unforgettable. Despite its youth, this sculpt radiates menace: a wide-jawed shark's head packed with serrated teeth, batlike wings folded and ready to snap open, and clawed forelimbs braced over a rocky shoreline base. The tail curls with coiled energy, as if the creature is caught mid-stalk rather than mid-rest. It reads unmistakably as a young beast — but one that already knows it's dangerous.

For Dungeon Masters running seafaring adventures, island hexcrawls, or coastal dungeon delves, this miniature brings a creature that defies easy categorisation. It's not quite dragon, not quite beast — and that ambiguity is exactly what makes it memorable on the table. Display collectors will appreciate the quality of the sculpt: the wing membrane texture, the overlapping scales, and the craggy base all hold crisp detail that rewards careful painting.

Brilliant for adventurers who:

  • Run coastal, aquatic, or island-based TTRPG campaigns
  • Need a distinctive young monster for an encounter or lair dressing
  • Want a chimeric sea creature for a boss fight warm-up or wandering encounter
  • Collect and paint fantasy creatures with unusual anatomy
  • Love display pieces that provoke questions about what they're looking at

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to investigate a series of wrecked fishing skiffs along the coast. Each hull bears the same pattern of damage — wide puncture marks along the waterline, consistent with teeth, but far too large for any known fish. Following the trail to a sea cave at low tide, they find a clutch of leathery eggs... and one that has already hatched. The pup is small. Its parent, judging by the half-eaten skiff in the corner, is not.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The model on a detailed base is supplied as a single piece. The model on a plain base comes with the base detached for easy assembly with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor marks may occasionally be present and are straightforward to clean up. All pieces are fully cured and ready to prime and paint.
