Description

Even hatchlings of the hive carry the hunger — small enough to slip beneath a door, sharp enough to sever a finger before you hear the rattle.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Baby Hive Snake is no mere animal encounter — it is a harbinger. Where one of these creatures is found, the hive is never far behind. With its broad, skull-like head crowned in jagged horns, its powerful forelimbs tipped with curving claws, and that low, coiled posture that suggests a spring at any moment, this sculpt captures something genuinely unsettling: a creature that is young, and already dangerous. For Dungeon Masters building Yuan-Ti strongholds, Underdark incursion scenarios, or serpentfolk cults, this miniature brings a visceral sense of scale to the horror — because if this is the baby, what does the parent look like?

The sculpt by Mia Kay M3DM is rendered in a stylised but characterful style, with angular, faceted geometry that reads beautifully at tabletop distance and rewards careful painting. The base is textured earth and debris, integrating the creature naturally into dungeon or wilderness terrain.

A great pick for adventurers who:

  • Are running Yuan-Ti, serpentfolk, or Underdark encounters
  • Want a creature that works as both a swarm minion and a solo threat depending on party level
  • Are building a hive-themed monster collection for display or campaign use
  • Enjoy painting creatures with strong silhouettes and dramatic focal points

Encounter Hook:
The party is hired to investigate a merchant caravan found abandoned on the trade road — no blood, no signs of struggle, just three wagons sitting silent in the afternoon sun and a faint, dry rustling coming from inside the largest crate. When the lid is pried open, something small, horned, and very fast launches itself directly at the nearest torch.
