Baby Direwolf by Mia Kay M3DM

It sits motionless on the rock, head tilted, wide eyes tracking your every move — and somewhere in the treeline, its pack is doing the same.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Direwolves are fearsome enough fully grown, but there is something uniquely unsettling about encountering one as a pup. This sculpt captures that uncanny quality brilliantly — the baby direwolf is seated, one forepaw raised mid-gesture, its overlapping scaled fur bristling across the shoulders and chest. The oversized claws, alert triangular ears, and those wide, unreadable eyes give it the air of a creature that is far more dangerous than it looks. Whether you're presenting it as a lost cub, a warlock's unusual companion, or the harbinger of a larger pack, this miniature carries real weight at the table.
For rangers, druids, and Dungeon Masters building wilderness encounters, the detail in this sculpt rewards painting — the layered fur texture, the splayed claws, and the naturalistic oval base all give painters plenty to work with. It sits equally well on a display shelf as it does on a hex map.
Well suited to adventurers who:
- Are building forest, tundra, or mountain wilderness encounters
- Want a beast companion miniature for a ranger or druid build
- Need an NPC creature for a pack ambush or tracking scenario
- Collect D&D beast miniatures for display or diorama projects
- Are looking for a painting project with rich fur and claw detail
Encounter Hook:
The ranger crouches beside a set of tracks — too large for any wolf the party has seen before. Then a soft whine draws their attention to the hollow beneath the roots, where a pair of luminous eyes stare back. The pup is alone. It hasn't eaten in days. And its mother's tracks circle back through the pass the party needs to cross by morning.
