The Babau is a demon of predators and assassins — lean, corded muscle over a grotesque frame, with elongated claws built for rending and a single curved horn crowning its snarling, fanged skull. Unlike the lumbering brutes of the lower planes, the Babau is fast, deliberate, and unnervingly intelligent. It doesn't charge; it stalks. This sculpt captures that energy precisely — weight shifted forward, claws splayed and ready, that grotesque grin pulled wide across its face like it already knows how this ends for the party.
The detail across this mini rewards a painter's attention: the taut musculature, the ridge of bony protrusions along the spine, the deeply textured hide of the face and skull crest, and the articulated talon-toes gripping the rocky outcrop base. Encounter Hook:
The patrol was found with no wounds — just three sets of enormous claw marks pressed into the stone floor, leading away from the bodies toward the lower levels. Whatever left those tracks didn't need to drag them. It left them as a message.
Each Babau is printed at 32mm scale and comes with the decorative rocky outcrop base as a separate piece — attach with superglue. The base isn't just cosmetic; the sculpt is designed to interact with it, so we strongly recommend using both together. Supplied unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushes or table-ready straight out of the box.
