Baba Yaga is one of the most enduring figures in folklore and fantasy — a hag of immense power, ambiguous alignment, and absolutely terrifying presence. This sculpt from Great Grimoire captures her mid-flight on her iconic broom, wild hair streaming behind her, a gnarled staff-topped broom gripped in both hands as she leans forward with predatory intent. Her ragged cloak tears at the edges like old leather, and her mortar — adorned with skulls and bound with chains — anchors her to a mossy, lily-pad-strewn base. The expression on her face is the worst part: she's not angry. She's amused.
Whether you're running a Feywild campaign, a dark fairy tale arc, or simply need a hag boss who commands the room the moment she appears on the table, this miniature delivers the gravitas the role demands. She works equally well as a terrifying antagonist, a reluctant ally with impossible prices, or the centrepiece of a Night Hag coven encounter. For collectors and painters, the detail in her robes, the skull work on the mortar, and the texture of the broom bristles make this a genuinely rewarding project.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a Baba Yaga, Night Hag, or Green Hag boss for their D&D or TTRPG campaign
- Are building a Feywild or dark folklore-themed encounter
- Want a statement piece for a display shelf or painting collection
- Are running a twisted bargain or dark fairy tale one-shot
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the edge of the Whispering Fen having followed three separate rumours — a stolen child, a cursed noble, a missing ranger. The old woman is already sitting outside her hut when they arrive, stirring something that smells of pine resin and regret. She looks up. "Oh," she says, "I've been expecting all of you. Separately, of course. This is going to be interesting."
This miniature is printed at 35mm scale. If you'd prefer a different scale, just send us a message and we'll do our best to accommodate you. A decorative base option is available — if you select it, please include a note with your preferred base style. The base (decorative or plain black) is supplied separately and attaches easily with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch, and each piece is fully cured and quality checked before it leaves us.
