This circular stone altar draws on mesoamerican temple aesthetics to bring something genuinely atmospheric to your tabletop. The flat upper face is ringed with concentric bands of angular glyphs, divided by four radial channels that meet at a worn central symbol — the kind of detail that rewards close painting. Around the drum of the altar, carved stone panels alternate between grinning skull faces and stacked glyph blocks, each separated by ribbed pilasters. The whole piece sits on a low stepped plinth with flagstone detailing, giving it weight and presence without overwhelming a 32mm-scale scene. In unpainted grey resin the surface texture is already rich — base coat it in aged limestone, pick out the recesses, and it will look like it has been waiting centuries for your party to blunder into it.

Whether it marks the site of a forgotten ritual, a sacrificial focus for a yuan-ti cult, or simply the centrepiece of a jungle ruin encounter, this altar gives your Dungeon Master toolkit a genuine visual anchor. Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The altar is a single-piece terrain scatter and comes ready for priming and painting or for use straight from the box. As with all detailed terrain pieces, minor surface marks from support removal are possible — these are easily tidied up before priming and do not affect the final painted result.
