Description
Where the river bends into the Feywild, something ancient and many-headed has been watching — and it has more than enough mouths to say hello.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Axolotl Hydra is a wonderfully unsettling mashup of the familiar and the monstrous. Each of its five heads bears the soft, wide-eyed features of an axolotl — feathered external gills fanning out like living fronds — yet the snapping jaws and coiled, reptilian body make it unmistakably dangerous. It crouches low, heads weaving at different heights, giving the whole sculpt a restless, unpredictable energy that reads brilliantly across the table.
This is a creature that works equally well as a wandering Feywild predator, a corrupted familiar of a powerful archfey, or a guardian lurking in the enchanted pools of a forgotten grotto. The base features scattered coral-like formations that reinforce its aquatic origin and give painters a superb textural canvas to work with. Whether you keep it in raw grey or develop a rich, bioluminescent colour scheme, this mini earns its place on both the gaming table and the display shelf.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a memorable multi-headed monster that isn't just another standard hydra
- Are running Feywild, swamp, or enchanted waterway encounters
- Want a showpiece creature that doubles as a striking display piece
- Love painting unusual textures — feathered gills, scaled necks, and organic bases
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to retrieve a stolen trinket from a will-o'-wisp's hoard, deep inside a flooded grotto — but the archfey who owns the grotto has left her Axolotl Hydra on guard, and its five heads are already turning in their direction, each one independently deciding which adventurer looks tastiest.
