This is pose 2 of our Axolotl Fighter range, sculpted by Mia Kay M3DM. Where the first pose may stride forward with aggression, this variant carries a hunter's patience — one hand gripping a tall trident, the other dragging a heavy rope net, a broad chest-plate bearing a bold emblem. The oversized axolotl head, complete with those distinctive external gills, gives this fighter an otherworldly quality that sits somewhere between tribal warrior and deep-sea guardian. On the tabletop, this mini brings instant character to coastal encounters, flooded dungeon rooms, or any seafaring campaign that needs a face — friend or foe — the players won't quickly forget.
Equally at home as a player character in a Triton or homebrew Axolotl-folk campaign, or as a territorial NPC warden of a sacred underwater shrine, this sculpt rewards painters with rich surface detail across the net, armour plating, and gill structure. A natural centrepiece for gaming or display alike.
Well suited to adventurers who:
- Need a Fighter or Ranger character with a coastal or aquatic flavour
- Are building a seafaring campaign and want memorable humanoid NPCs
- Love unusual creature-folk player characters beyond the standard races
- Are collectors drawn to characterful, lore-rich display pieces
Encounter Hook:
The party's boat runs aground on a silt-bank in the flooded delta — and rising from the reeds is a stocky axolotl warrior, net already raised, trident levelled, gill-plumes flared in challenge. It doesn't speak Common. But the message is clear: these waters are claimed, and the party has thirty seconds to explain themselves before the net drops.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. The model with the detailed base comes as a single piece, base attached. The model with the plain base comes with the base separate, ready to attach with a small amount of glue.
