Description

Before the party even spotted the creature, its piercing shriek split the treeline — the axe beak had already chosen its target.

  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Axe Beak is one of those creatures that earns its place at the table the moment adventurers lay eyes on it. This sculpt from Yasashii Kyojin Studios captures the beast mid-confrontation: beak split open in a threatening cry, that great curved horn raking skyward, wings half-spread in a threat display, and powerful taloned feet braced for a charge. Every feather, every scaled leg, every hooked claw is rendered with the kind of detail that rewards a careful paint job. This is pose 02 of the Axe Beak range — where the first pose tucks the beast into a more alert, watching stance, this one is all aggression and forward momentum.

Whether you're dropping a pack of these into a grassland ambush, using a single specimen as a mount gone feral, or placing it as a prized beast in a noble's hunting menagerie, this miniature brings real physical presence to your encounter mat. It works equally well as a display piece for collectors who appreciate a well-sculpted creature with genuine character.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a D&D Beast encounter for open wilderness or savannah terrain
  • Are running a hunt, chase, or mounted combat scenario
  • Want a creature mini that doubles as a striking display piece
  • Are building out a bestiary collection with quality sculpts

Encounter Hook:
The merchant convoy's surviving outrider arrives breathless at camp — three axe beaks have been shadowing the road since dawn, and one of them is wearing the remains of a leather harness. Someone trained these things, and that someone is likely still watching.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. Each mini is delivered ready for priming and painting, though it looks sharp on the shelf straight from the box too. We check every piece before it goes out, though minor marks from the printing process are occasionally possible and can be tidied up easily.
