Awakened Priest of the Deep One by DM Stash

Where Quorenderi's whispers seep through the cracks between worlds, the Awakened walk — their flesh remade, their singular eye opened to truths no mortal mind should bear.

This is no ordinary cultist. The Awakened Priest of the Deep One is what happens when devotion to an alien god runs deep enough to rewrite the body entirely. The figure stands tall and gaunt, its torso half-exposed beneath a tattered, layered robe that hangs in ragged strips — every fold and tear rendered with the kind of detail that rewards a careful wash and dry-brush. A single enormous cyclopean eye dominates where a face should be, ringed with concentric detail that draws the gaze the moment the miniature hits the table.

Chitinous spines erupt from the shoulders and forearms, creeping down the limbs like armour that has grown rather than been worn — the body itself reshaped by the Deep One's blessing, or curse. The left arm is raised high, gripping a towering staff whose shaft winds with tentacle-like tendrils and is crowned with a geometric angular head, suggesting power channelled from somewhere beyond the material plane. The right arm hangs at the side, fingers trailing, eldritch energy barely restrained.

The sculpt comes with a detailed decorative base that grounds the piece in atmosphere without overwhelming it — raised enough to give the figure real presence on the table, whether you're staging a coastal horror encounter or adding a showpiece to a display collection. The multipart construction allows clean assembly and gives painters access to the finer details on both sides of the miniature.

This miniature is from DM Stash's Shadow Over Westlook release — a collection steeped in coastal dread and aberrant cult horror that translates directly to Lovecraftian-inflected D&D campaigns, Call of Cthulhu crossovers, or any setting where something old and vast stirs beneath the sea.

Well suited for adventurers who:

• Need a memorable cult leader or high priest for an aberrant faction
• Are running a campaign with eldritch, Lovecraftian, or deep sea horror themes
• Want a spellcaster enemy that reads as genuinely alien rather than simply arcane
• Are building a display piece around a coastal or cthonic horror narrative
• Collect aberration-adjacent miniatures with exceptional sculpt quality

Encounter Hook

The party investigates a series of disappearances along the Westlook dockside — fishermen, night-watchmen, a harbour priest. Following a trail of salt-crusted symbols to a forgotten sea-cave, they descend into torchlit dark and find the congregation mid-rite, the Awakened Priest standing at the centre of a summoning circle, its singular eye already fixed on the tunnel entrance as though it knew they were coming.
