Description

Something clawed its way through the collapsed summoning circle — not what was called, but something far older, and far angrier.

  • ✔ Display-scale miniature — larger than standard 32mm gaming scale
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Equally suited to display shelves and the gaming table

The Avatar of Despair is a gaunt, predatory horror: spike-crowned and hollow-eyed, its emaciated frame bristling with jagged thorns and gnarled protrusions across a crusted, corrupted torso. It lunges forward in a low, aggressive stance, swinging a barbed scythe-blade suspended on a heavy chain — a weapon that looks less crafted and more grown. The sculpt captures the creature mid-strike, all sinew and menace, balanced on a detailed rune-inscribed stone base scattered with broken stakes and debris. This is a monster that doesn't wait to be found.

For Dungeon Masters, the Avatar works beautifully as a demon lord's emissary, a manifestation of abyssal grief given physical form, or the centrepiece of a climactic encounter in a corrupted temple or demonologist's lair. Its display-scale base (80mm) gives it commanding presence on the table — and an equally compelling place on a collector's shelf.

Well suited for adventurers who:

  • Need a visceral, imposing boss monster for a demonic or abyssal campaign arc
  • Are building a corrupted temple, demonologist's sanctum, or Abyss-touched encounter
  • Want a display-scale centrepiece that reads as a genuine threat from across the table
  • Enjoy ambitious painting projects — the textured torso, chained weapon, and rune base offer exceptional detail throughout

Encounter Hook:
The party's warlock recognises the sigils on the circle — they're not a summoning ward, they're a cage. Something was already here, buried beneath the temple for centuries. The cage is now open, and the Avatar remembers every soul that helped seal it away.

This miniature is printed at display scale — the base measures 80mm, making it notably larger than a standard 32mm mini and well suited as a boss-tier piece. The detailed scenic base is supplied separately for ease of attachment with glue. If you'd like a different scale, feel free to message us and we'll see what we can do.
