Athena Lightshield is a human paladin rendered with the kind of detail that makes a sculpt genuinely sing on the table. Her armour is a work of devotion in itself: engraved breastplate and pauldrons adorned with scrolling filigree, articulated gauntlets, and a flowing cape that catches the wind of a dozen imagined battles. Her crested helmet — horned and visored — marks her as a warrior of rank and faith. In her primary hand she holds a tall spear, either a plain-shafted lance or a more elaborate winged polearm depending on the variation you choose, and her free hand is raised mid-gesture, as though channelling divine energy or commanding the tide of a skirmish. A quiver of arrows at her back hints at versatility beyond the front line.
This sculpt is available in three distinct variations — differing in pose angle, spear head design, and the precise sweep of her cape — giving Dungeon Masters and collectors the option to field the same character across multiple encounters, or simply choose the pose that best captures your vision of the character. Each is sculpted at 32mm scale for the tabletop, with a 54mm display option also available.
A natural choice for adventurers who:
- Are playing a paladin PC and want a miniature that reads as commanding without being ostentatious
- Need a high-ranking temple guardian, order captain, or divine champion NPC
- Are building a city watch, knightly order, or sacred warband for a longer campaign arc
- Want a display-scale piece with enough surface detail to reward an ambitious paint job
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the sealed gates of the Sunwarden Citadel to find Athena Lightshield already there — spear planted, hand raised, expression unreadable. She is not blocking their path. She is waiting to see whether they are worth letting through.
Each miniature comes on a detailed cobblestone or textured tile base (dependent on variation) and can be easily attached with a small amount of superglue. Printed at 32mm scale for standard tabletop play, or 54mm for display collecting and showcase painting. Every piece goes through our quality control process before dispatch — this is a mini built to sit on a shelf or command a battlemat with equal confidence.
