Description

He does not hunt in a pack — the pack hunts in his name, and every howl on the moor is an echo of his command.

  • ✔ Display-scale miniature — larger than standard 32mm gaming scale
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Equally suited to display shelves and the gaming table

The Ascendant Greatwolf is no mere lycanthrope caught between man and beast — this is something that has transcended the curse entirely, claiming it as a birthright. Sculpted at a larger boss scale (55mm base), every detail speaks to a creature that has been worshipped as much as it has been feared: the twin battle-axes cracked and notched from a hundred victories, the ceremonial skull-totem staff draped in a tattered banner, and that heavy horned war-mask that sits somewhere between trophy and crown. The musculature is enormous, the pose mid-stride as though stepping over something it barely considered a threat.

This is the kind of miniature that earns its own initiative card. Whether you place it at the centre of a lycanthrope cult, crown it as the apex predator of a haunted wilderness, or paint it as a cursed warlord whose humanity was the last thing he willingly surrendered — the Ascendant Greatwolf brings genuine menace to the table. Equally at home on a display shelf as it is dominating a battlemat.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a centrepiece BBEG for a lycanthropy-themed campaign or arc
  • Are building a werewolf cult, wild hunt, or cursed wilderness encounter
  • Want a boss-scale monster that doubles as a serious display piece
  • Are looking for a dramatic painting project with exceptional surface detail
  • Play or run Ravenloft, curse-of-the-moon, or wilderness horror campaigns

Encounter Hook:
The village elders speak of the Greatwolf only in whispers — not out of superstition, but because three men who spoke its name aloud last winter were found the next morning, armour crushed flat, their horses gone. The party has been hired to negotiate a border treaty with the local pack. Nobody mentioned the pack answers to something far older than a chieftain.

Details

This model is supplied at boss scale — the base is 55mm, sized intentionally by the artist to sit above standard encounter minis. The base is included detached and can be fixed with superglue. If you need a different scale, get in touch and we'll see what we can do. The model is ready to prime and paint straight away, or display as-is in grey.
