Description

They said he fought dirty. Derek Matthews would argue that two steam-powered mechanical fists are simply the most honest weapons a man can carry.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Derek Matthews — known on the streets as the Jawbreaker — is a bruiser who straddles the line between martial discipline and arcane engineering. His heavy longcoat billows around him as he squares up for a fight, one mechanical fist raised and clenched, the other braced at his hip. Those augmented gauntlets aren't just for show — every gear, piston, and casing tells a story of a man who decided raw talent wasn't quite enough and built himself something better. Fur-wrapped legs, a studded belt, and a physique that fills the coat out completely round off a figure who looks utterly at home in a gaslit back alley or across the table from a corrupt noble.

Part of DM Stash's Cogs of Revolution setting, Derek slots naturally into any steampunk-inflected campaign, urban underworld encounter, or revolutionary faction. He works equally well as a player character — Artificer, Way of the Open Hand monk, or something homebrew entirely — or as a named NPC enforcer that your players will absolutely remember meeting. The sculpt captures real menace without sacrificing character detail, making him just as satisfying on a display shelf as he is on the battle map.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a mechanically-augmented brawler for a steampunk or urban D&D campaign
  • Want a named NPC enforcer, faction lieutenant, or morally grey ally
  • Are building an Artificer or Monk player character with serious visual presence
  • Collect display miniatures from grounded, character-driven sculpts

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to negotiate a debt with a local guild — but the man who answers the door is Derek Matthews, and before anyone can speak, he's already cracked his mechanical knuckles and tilted his head. He's not here to negotiate. He's here to deliver a message, and the guild boss is watching from the shadows to see how the party responds.

Supplied at 32mm scale. The miniature and decorative base are separate pieces — a small amount of super glue will fix them together securely, and the sculpt is designed to sit best on its included base. Comes unpainted and ready for priming, painting, or straight-to-table use.
