Description

The glaciers remember a time when the great tusked lords wore iron and bone, and whole armies broke against them like waves on stone.

  • ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
  • ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions

This Armoured Mammoth Bust from Witchsong Miniatures is a display piece of real presence. The sculpt shows a hulking mammoth warrior — dense fur rendered in fine texture across the broad head and neck, sweeping curved tusks bound with iron rings, and a chest clad in jagged spiked plate armour etched with aggressive angular detail. A spiked crown rises from the brow, and the sheer mass of the piece communicates exactly the kind of weight that should accompany a creature this formidable. Every surface gives a painter somewhere to go: the contrast between matted fur, worn metal, and the smooth sweep of the tusks offers a proper technical challenge and a genuinely rewarding result.

As a bust, this piece is designed to showcase character and craftsmanship rather than sit on a grid square. It works brilliantly as a display centrepiece, a painting competition entry, or as visual inspiration for a warlord, primordial guardian, or ancient enemy in your campaign. Whether you mount it on a shelf or use it to anchor a narrative — this is a character with a story already written into the sculpt.

Well suited to adventurers who:

  • Enjoy display painting projects with real textural variety
  • Are building a fantasy bust collection with creature diversity
  • Want a commanding piece to inspire a D&D or TTRPG villain, warlord, or boss encounter
  • Are looking for a striking gift for a miniature painter or worldbuilder

Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked the source of the raids to a fortress carved from a glacier. At the gate stands a throne of ice and iron, and seated upon it — or perhaps this bust is all that remains — is the effigy of Karroth the Unmoved, last Tusk-King of the north. His followers still worship the image. And they do not take kindly to strangers.
