Description

He has ruled long enough to know that a crown offers no protection — so he forged his armour first, and wears the crown atop the visor.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is the third sculpt in Galaad Miniatures' Armoured King range, and it carries the weight of a ruler who has personally led charges rather than watched from a throne. The figure stands in a composed, two-weapon stance — a longsword lowered to the ground in his right hand, a shorter blade sheathed across his back, ready to draw. His full plate is layered with interlocking chainmail detail across the torso and arms, heavy pauldrons, and articulated gauntlets, all topped by a visored helm crowned with a simple but authoritative circlet. A long flowing cloak sweeps behind him, lending the pose a regal stillness despite the martial readiness of his weapons. The sculpt reads equally well as a warrior-king, a fallen paladin, or a fearsome champion of a military order.

Whether you're placing him on the throne room map as a final act boss, fielding him as a Player Character paladin or fighter, or painting him for your display shelf, this sculpt rewards the detail work. The back of the cloak offers a broad, smooth canvas for freehand or layered blending, while the armour's surface texture makes drybrushing and washes particularly effective.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Need a commanding monarch or military leader as an NPC or BBEG
  • Are building a Fighter or Paladin Player Character with a regal, armoured aesthetic
  • Want a centrepiece miniature for a knightly order, royal court, or crusade-themed campaign
  • Collect display-worthy character sculpts from independent artists

Encounter Hook:
The party finally gains an audience with King Aldric — only to find him already in full plate, sword drawn and resting on the council table. The chamberlain whispers that he hasn't removed his armour in three days. Something is very wrong at court, and the king is the only one who knows what it is.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The figure and base are separate pieces and fit together cleanly with a small amount of superglue. Minis are delivered unpainted and ready for priming — the cast detail holds washes and layered paints particularly well. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin production, minor surface marks can occasionally occur and are easily tidied up before painting.
