Armadillo Wizard by MZ4250
Description
Somewhere between the great libraries of the arcane academies and the dusty burrows of the wild, this armoured scholar decided that knowledge was the most dangerous armour of all.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This armadillo wizard cuts a wonderfully distinctive figure on the tabletop — standing upright, nose buried in an open spellbook, a sturdy satchel buckled at their side. The sculpt captures that particular energy of a wizard who is deeply preoccupied with a very important passage of text and absolutely should not be interrupted. Every overlapping plate of their natural armour is rendered with crisp detail, sitting alongside softer fur on the underbelly — a lovely contrast that rewards careful painters and looks characterful even straight off the base.
Whether you're running a Journeys Through the Radiant Citadel campaign full of non-human scholars, building out a Spelljammer crew of eccentric mages, or simply want a player character that nobody at the table has ever seen before — this miniature brings genuine personality to the role. It works equally well as a display piece for collectors who appreciate the craft of an unusual, well-realised sculpt.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Want a genuinely distinctive wizard player character
- Need a memorable NPC scholar, sage, or quest-giver
- Are collecting unusual beast-folk or anthropomorphic mages
- Enjoy painting minis with natural texture and fine detail
- Display TTRPG miniatures as part of a wider collection
Encounter Hook:
The party finds a small armadillo in robes sitting cross-legged in the road, wholly absorbed in a tome, three inches from the hooves of their horses. He doesn't look up. He simply holds out one clawed hand and says, "You'll need what I've just found. Sit down — this is going to take a while."
