Arielle is one of those NPCs who stops a table cold — instantly memorable, quietly unnerving, and full of story potential. Sculpted by Great Grimoire as part of their Common People range, she stands in a long simple dress with a braided plait over one shoulder, wearing a hooded cloak adorned with round animal ears. Cradled in her arms is a small stuffed bear that mirrors her hood almost exactly. Her expression is wide and bright — a grin that sits just on the edge of joy and something harder to name.

Whether she's an innocent child in a cursed village, a fey-touched ward, a beloved mascot of a thieves' guild, or something altogether stranger, Arielle brings instant atmosphere to any encounter. She works equally well on the tabletop as a focal NPC and on a display shelf as a character study in miniature storytelling. The sculpt rewards careful painting — the folds of her dress, the texture of the stuffed toy, and that extraordinary face all hold detail beautifully.

A good fit for adventurers who:

  • Need a memorable NPC that sparks immediate questions from their players
  • Are running horror, folklore, or fey-tinged campaigns where innocence feels ambiguous
  • Want a characterful civilian or quest-giver who will stick in their party's memory
  • Are collectors drawn to expressive, narrative-rich sculpts

Encounter Hook:
The party finds Arielle sitting alone at the edge of the burnt village, rocking her stuffed bear and humming a lullaby. She looks up with that wide smile and says, perfectly calmly, that the bad men came in the night — and that her bear told her they would. She has not stopped smiling since they arrived. She does not seem afraid. That is what worries the ranger most.
