Archano Arachnid 3 (Netronid) by DM Stash
Description
It skitters across the obsidian floor on segmented mechanical legs, its domed cranial housing etched with arcane circuitry — a construct that predates the empire whose name it still obeys.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Netronid is no crude automaton. Where other constructs are built for brute labour or battlefield duty, the Netronid was engineered for something far more unsettling: surveillance, pattern recognition, and the cold enforcement of ancient laws. Its bulbous, rune-scored carapace houses a network of psionic relay nodes, each one still humming with the residual will of a long-dead artificer. Eight articulated limbs — jointed with mechanical precision and tipped with piercing spurs — carry it silently through ruins that have not seen living footsteps in centuries.
This is the third sculpt in our Archano Arachnid range, and it presents the Netronid from a low, spreading stance — legs fanned wide across broken stone terrain, carapace tilted as though mid-scan. The textured rocky base anchors it beautifully as both a table encounter piece and a display centrepiece. The domed body's surface detail — riveted plating, flowing arcane script, and circular receptor nodes — rewards careful painting with washes and drybrush work, but reads with equal clarity straight off the print.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Need a mechanically distinct construct for dungeon depths or ancient vaults
- Are running artificer-heavy campaigns or Eberron-adjacent settings
- Want an encounter creature with an Aberration or Construct stat block feel
- Collect display pieces with serious sculpt complexity
- Are building a lair for a mad artificer or forgotten empire boss encounter
Encounter Hook:
The party discovers a sealed sub-level beneath the ruined Academy of Vel-Karath. As they breach the door, eight legs click against the stone in the darkness ahead — the Netronid has not received an override command in four hundred years, and its original directive was to ensure no one leaves with the headmaster's research.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The miniature and scenic rocky base are separate pieces and attach cleanly with superglue — the base terrain interacts with the model's leg placement, so the two are designed to be displayed together. Arrives unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushwork or striking straight from the box as a display piece.
