Arch Paladin Tyrius III is a figure of immense religious authority rendered in extraordinary sculptural detail. The miniature depicts him in full ceremonial-military armour — spiked pauldrons, layered chainmail robes, and a heavily embellished stole draped across his chest in intricate floral relief. A cross-topped headpiece crowns his hood, marking him unmistakably as a figure of high ecclesiastical rank. In his right hand he carries an ornate reliquary mace on a long staff; a blade rests at his hip, ready but not drawn — a posture that speaks of restrained authority rather than open aggression. The cloak sweeps dramatically behind him, and the rubble-strewn base evokes a battlefield or ruined cathedral. From the back, the broad flowing cape dominates, emphasising his commanding presence at the table.
From the DM Stash The Great Crusade collection, Tyrius III works equally well as a player character paladin, a commanding NPC quest-giver, or the formidable face of a religious faction your party is either allied with — or desperately trying to bring down. A miniature equally at home on the gaming table and in a display cabinet.
Brought to your table by Mitz & Simz — adventurers who want to:
- Play a Paladin, Cleric, or oathbound warrior of divine conviction
- Field a powerful NPC leader of a crusading religious order
- Introduce a morally complex faction head who believes, without doubt, that he is righteous
- Add a centrepiece display piece to a collection of holy warriors or fantasy clergy
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the smouldering ruins of a village to find Tyrius III standing amid the ash, mace resting on the ground before him, utterly calm. He turns to face them and explains, without a flicker of remorse, that the village harboured a fiend. He asks if they have come to help with the crusade — or to impede it. The answer, he makes clear, will determine how this conversation ends.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and decorative rubble base are separate pieces — the model is designed to interact with the base, so we recommend attaching them with a small amount of super glue. Arrives unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushwork or fine to use straight from the box.
