Description

He's just a farmhand — or so he wants you to think, turning that apple over in his calloused hands with a little too much patience for a man with nothing to hide.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Apple Picker is one of those NPCs who can make or break a scene. Dressed in a belted work tunic, loose trousers tucked into worn boots, and a tousled head of hair above a neatly kept beard, he carries the quiet authority of a man who has seen travellers pass through this village for decades. That apple in his raised hand? Could be a snack. Could be an invitation. Could be the signal your players never spotted until it was too late.

Whether he's a humble orchard worker offering the party a tip-off about the bandits on the south road, or a village elder with a decades-old secret buried under his apple trees, this sculpt brings genuine character to any rural or agrarian encounter. The relaxed stance and sharp facial expression give a DM plenty to work with — he reads as calm, measured, and just slightly unreadable.

Brilliant for adventurers who:

  • Need believable rural NPCs for village or farmstead encounters
  • Want a quest-giver who doesn't look like a quest-giver
  • Are building a living world with named commoners and townsfolk
  • Collect character minis for display or painting projects

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives in the village of Millhaven to find it unnervingly quiet. In the orchard at the edge of town, a lone man stands among the trees, unhurried, turning an apple in his hand. He doesn't wave. He doesn't run. He just watches — and when the party approaches, he already knows their names.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. This mini arrives ready for priming and painting, or slot it straight onto the table as-is. As with all hand-finished resin pieces, minor surface marks may occasionally be present — these are easily tidied up before painting.
