This is pose 05 of the Apostle of the Faceless King range by Witchsong Miniatures — and it is one of the most distinctive cult spellcasters you will find at 32mm scale. The figure wears long, tattered robes layered with ragged pauldrons and a belt of dark leather, striding forward with grim purpose. Where a head should be, a carved rectangular totem rises — etched with occult markings that suggest something ancient and deliberately obscured. In one outstretched hand he carries a tall, barbed staff crowned with a spiralling nautilus-like orb wreathed in thorned branches and a blade tip. The other hand curls open at his side, mid-incantation. The base is richly textured with broken stone, grounding the figure in the feel of a desecrated temple or forgotten ruin.

For Dungeon Masters building cults, forbidden sects, or a mysterious patron known only as the Faceless King, this apostle slots straight into your campaign as a high priest, cult lieutenant, or the final horrifying voice of something that should never have been summoned. Equally compelling on a display shelf beside the rest of the range, where the collected apostles make for a genuinely unsettling congregation.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Are running a cult, forbidden-knowledge, or cosmic horror arc in D&D 5e or other TTRPGs
  • Need a spellcaster NPC or boss monster with a strong visual identity at the table
  • Are building a collection of Witchsong Miniatures' Faceless King range
  • Enjoy painting complex layered robes, arcane staff details, and runic stonework
  • Want a display piece that genuinely unsettles visitors who recognise what they're looking at

Encounter Hook:
The party tracks the missing cartographer to the subterranean library beneath the old abbey — and finds him kneeling before this figure, reciting something in a language that hasn't been spoken since before the kingdom had a name. The Apostle turns, slowly. The totem where its face should be bears a symbol that matches the one the party's warlock has been drawing in their sleep for three weeks.
