Cloaked in ragged robes that sweep the ground like the hem of a funeral shroud, this Apostle of the Faceless King cuts an unmistakable silhouette on the tabletop. A towering witch's hat — carved with a leering skull motif — frames a hooded, featureless face, while one gauntleted hand hauls a heavy spiked warhammer overhead, ready to deliver divine punishment in the name of something that should not be named. Over one shoulder rises an enormous ornate shield, its surface etched with baroque scrollwork that speaks of a faith far older and stranger than any sanctioned by the gods of light. This is no mindless grunt — this is a figure of terrible authority.
For Dungeon Masters, the Apostle makes an outstanding cult leader, high priest, or herald of an elder god — the kind of figure your players encounter at the end of a long, unsettling dungeon and immediately understand is going to be trouble. The sculpt rewards a painted finish with areas of deep shadow and fine surface texture, but holds its menace even as bare resin on the gaming table. Whether leading a congregation of corrupted faithful or standing as a boss encounter in its own right, this is a figure that commands the room.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Need a cult leader or dark cleric for a D&D 5e or TTRPG campaign
- Are building a Ravenloft, elder god, or forbidden religion story arc
- Want a distinctive display piece for a fantasy miniature collection
- Love painting robes, weathered armour, and ornate detail
Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked the cult to an abandoned monastery deep in the fens. Inside the nave, candles burn in geometric patterns around a defaced altar — and standing at the centre, warhammer resting against one shoulder, is a figure in layered robes who turns to greet them by name. He knows why they have come. He has been expecting them for three days. The door behind them swings shut on its own.
