Description

Before the age of dragons, before the first elf drew breath, something ancient and terrible ruled the seas — and in the depths of forgotten waters, it still does.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Anomalocaris is a creature ripped straight from the primordial deep — a real-world prehistoric predator that looks for all the world like something a twisted god of the sea dreamed up. With its segmented, shrimp-like body, broad lateral fins rippling along its flanks like the wings of a manta ray, a curling articulated tail, and a crown of lobed sensory appendages fanning from its head, this sculpt by MZ4250 captures every unsettling detail of one of nature's most alien designs.

At the gaming table, this miniature earns its place as a sea creature encounter that will make your players do a double take. Drop it into an underwater campaign, a flooded dungeon, or a forgotten lake in the Underdark, and watch the table fall quiet. It is not a dragon, not a shark — it is something older, and that unfamiliarity is precisely what makes it so effective. For display collectors, the complexity of the sculpt — those layered fins, the compound eye clusters, the segmented curl of the tail — makes it a genuinely rewarding painting project.

  • Adventurers running aquatic campaigns who want creatures that feel genuinely alien
  • Dungeon Masters stocking flooded ruins, underground lakes, or primordial ocean settings
  • Painters who want a biologically intricate sculpt with plenty of texture work
  • Collectors drawn to prehistoric and deep-sea creature miniatures

Encounter Hook: The party's submersible reaches the collapsed sea floor temple when the sonar begins tracking something large circling beneath them — something that has been down here since before the gods named the ocean, and it has just noticed the light.
