Few creatures inspire the particular dread of the Ankheg — a massive, burrowing insectoid predator that hunts by tremorsense, erupting from beneath travellers' feet with a spray of caustic acid and a clatter of serrated limbs. This bundle brings you both sculpts from Novaminis' Ankheg range, each capturing a different facet of the creature's terrifying presence. Pose 01 shows the beast mid-emergence, its spined legs splayed across a crumbling earth base as it rears upward — mandibles wide, the great chitinous crest of its head flared like a war banner. Pose 02 presents a fully surfaced hunter in a low, aggressive crouch, its hooked foreclaws raised and its segmented body coiled with predatory intent, every spine and serration rendered in sharp, high-resolution detail.
Both sculpts are digital renders shown unpainted, displaying the raw sculpt detail in full — from the ridged plating of the thorax to the layered texture of the compound eyes. Encounter Hook:
The Harvestmoon Festival has drawn every farmer within twenty miles to the village square — but three homesteads on the eastern road have gone silent. When the party investigates, the fields are riddled with fresh bore-holes each three feet wide, and the cellar of the nearest farmhouse has collapsed inward. Something has been tunnelling a network beneath the village for weeks, and the feast-night crowds above are exactly the kind of vibration that brings a hungry Ankheg colony to the surface.
