The Ankheg is one of the most viscerally unsettling creatures in the D&D bestiary: part insect, part ambush predator, all threat. This is pose 02 from Yasashii Kyojin Studio's Ankheg range, and it captures the creature mid-lunge — a broad chitinous cap crowning its head, sabre-like mandibles spread wide, and a tangle of powerful limbs splayed across rocky ground as though it has just erupted from beneath the surface. The musculature of the torso is deeply sculpted, and the hooked talons on every limb leave no doubt about what this thing does for a living. At 37mm tall, it carries real presence on the table.

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to investigate a string of disappearances along the trade road between two villages. The trail leads to a field of freshly turned earth — and as the rogue kneels to examine the tracks, the ground beneath the paladin simply gives way, and six hooked limbs close in from every direction at once.
Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Scaled to 32mm standard (this sculpt measures approximately 37mm at its tallest point). Any minor surface marks from the print process can be tidied up before painting. The scenic rocky base is integrated into the sculpt.
