The Ankheg is one of the most viscerally threatening creatures a Dungeon Master can drop into a wilderness or Underdark encounter — an ambush predator that tunnels silently beneath the feet of unsuspecting adventurers before erupting upward in a spray of dirt and acid. This sculpt from Yasashii Kyojin Studios captures that exact moment of emergence: the creature's great domed carapace looming forward, a single foreleg thrust high in mid-lunge, and a cluster of curved fang-like mandibles spread wide beneath its cluster of small compound eyes.
