Animated Flying Sword MM2025 by MZ4250
Description
No wielder. No master. Just a blade that drifts through the air on its own terrible purpose, trailing shadow like a wound in the world.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Animated Flying Sword is one of D&D's most evocative magical hazards — a weapon unmoored from its owner, still hungry for a target. This sculpt captures that eerie autonomy beautifully: a long, wickedly hilted blade hovering at a dramatic angle, its grip trailing coiling wisps of dark shadow energy that curl down to a round display base. The crossguard is adorned with curved, claw-like quillons that give this sword a distinctly sinister personality. It's a piece that reads immediately at the table — players will know something unnatural is in the room.
Whether you're statting it as a CR 1/4 construct guarding an archmage's vault or using it as a prop for a cursed artefact your party absolutely shouldn't touch, this miniature brings clarity and atmosphere to the encounter in equal measure. Equally at home on a collector's shelf as a centrepiece of a magical weapons display.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run encounters featuring magical constructs, cursed weapons, or animated objects
- Need a visual marker for a floating sword trap, ward, or arcane guardian
- Want to represent a Dancing Sword, Sword of Vengeance, or similar enchanted blade in play
- Collect magical artefact miniatures for display or diorama use
Encounter Hook:
The party enters the inner sanctum of a long-dead war-wizard. Floating silently in the centre of the room, angled as if mid-lunge, is a sword that has been waiting here for two hundred years. As the door swings shut behind them, it moves.
