The armour stood in the corridor long before the castle fell — and it has been waiting, patient and purposeless, for someone foolish enough to enter.

The Reckoning is part of Great Grimoire's Dark Triad collection, and it carries that name with grim authority. This is no mere suit of plate left to rust — it moves with deliberate menace, dual shortswords held at the ready, its spiked and clawed pauldrons betraying something older and darker than any mortal armourer's craft. The visored great helm offers nothing by way of expression, only the cold implication of judgement. Whatever animated this armour, it was not a benevolent force.

The sculpt captures the Reckoning mid-stride, weight shifting as though it has already chosen its target. The layered tassets, studded fauld, and serrated armour edges give it a silhouette that reads as instantly threatening on the tabletop — a Construct that DMs can deploy as a guardian, a cursed relic come to life, or the herald of something far worse waiting deeper in the dungeon. Equally at home on a display shelf, the depth of detail rewards careful brushwork: every edge, rivet, and claw mark is crisp and ready for paint.

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to retrieve a signet ring from the lord's sealed armoury — the one room the estate's new owners refused to enter. When they finally break the lock, they find every suit of armour neatly arranged in a circle, facing inward, surrounding a single empty pedestal. Then the nearest one slowly turns its helm towards the door.

This miniature is scaled at 35mm. If you'd prefer a different scale, send us a message and we'll do our best to accommodate. Decorative base options are available — if you select one, please include a note with your preferred style, as the base ships separately and attaches easily with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all hand-finished prints, minor marks may occasionally be present and are straightforward to tidy up before priming.
