Details
This listing includes two variants of the same magnificent sculpt by Yasashii Kyojin Studios: a rearing warhorse and a rearing unicorn, both captured mid-rear in a pose full of raw energy and movement. The anatomy is cleanly sculpted with well-defined musculature, flowing mane, and expressive head — turned slightly as if reacting to a threat or a command it has chosen to refuse. The unicorn variant carries the same sculpt with the addition of a straight, elegant horn rising from the brow, making it a natural fit for Fey or celestial encounters without any extra work on your part.
On the tabletop, the rearing pose does something most mounted or animal minis don't — it reads immediately as a creature with agency. Drop the horse on the board as a panicked warhorse scattered by a fireball, a knight's loyal mount making a desperate stand, or a wild stallion the party must tame. The unicorn steps straight into any Feywild encounter, paladin backstory moment, or the kind of set piece where the celestial entity arrives dramatically and your players immediately start arguing about whether to fight it or befriend it.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Need a striking large Beast or Celestial creature for D&D 5e or other TTRPG systems
- Are building Feywild, wilderness, or travelling encounter scenes on the tabletop
- Want a characterful mount or companion miniature that reads clearly at arm's length
- Collect and display fantasy miniatures and want a sculpt with genuine presence on a shelf
Encounter Hook:
The party hears it before they see it — hooves on stone, somewhere in the mist above the ravine. When the unicorn finally appears, rearing on the clifftop with its horn catching the last of the light, it is not alone. Three riders in pale armour are closing behind it, and it is looking directly at the paladin like it has been waiting for exactly this moment.
Both variants are scaled to 32mm and printed without a base, giving you full flexibility to base them to match your existing collection or display setup. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Minor support marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before painting.
