The Angler Gluglin is what happens when the deep ocean stops being a mystery and starts being a threat. Part anglerfish nightmare, part walking abomination, this fishfolk horror slouches forward on powerful legs, its cavernous jaw crammed with jagged teeth and its bioluminescent lure arcing overhead on a thick scaled stalk. Rows of bony spines ridge its back, a crusted crustacean claw juts from one side, and its bloated, tumour-ridged torso speaks of something that has fed well — and hungrily — for a very long time. The sculpt captures every grotesque detail: the dimpled warty hide, the webbed claws, the slack lower jaw stretched wide in threat or hunger. It stands atop a coral and sea-floor base, bringing the abyssal ocean floor right onto your battlemat.
Whether you're running a coastal horror campaign, a sea-voyage arc gone terribly wrong, or populating the sunken ruins beneath a port city, the Gluglin delivers the kind of visceral dread that makes players genuinely reconsider splitting the party. Equally compelling as a display piece for collectors drawn to deep-sea creature sculpts and monstrous anatomy.
A great fit for adventurers who:
- Need a boss-level aquatic threat that reads as genuinely dangerous on the table
- Are running coastal, underwater, or sea-horror TTRPG campaigns
- Want a centrepiece display mini with exceptional creature detail
- Love creatures that blur the line between Aberration and Monstrosity
Encounter Hook:
The fishing village has been silent for three days. When the party reaches the docks, every boat is still moored — nets torn, lanterns cold — and a single pale light bobs slowly beneath the surface of the harbour, rising.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and coral sea-floor base are separate pieces, designed to be attached with superglue — the base is sculpted to complement the figure's stance and the two work best displayed together. Printed in high-quality resin; supports are removed before dispatch, though minor surface marks are an inherent part of the process and are easily tidied up before priming.
