Description

Bound by an ancestral curse and driven by insatiable hunger, the Angatra does not haunt its territory — it hunts it.

  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Angatra is one of the more unsettling entries in undead lore: not a lumbering zombie or a theatrical skeleton, but something low, fast, and purposeful. This sculpt captures that threat beautifully — the creature crouches forward in a predatory lunge, one hand braced on the ground while the other levels a jagged dagger. Wrapped in tattered burial shrouds, its skull-like face is half-exposed beneath a hood, jaw set with grim intent. It's the kind of miniature that makes your players lean forward and say, "What is that?"

In Malagasy folklore, the Angatra is the vengeful spirit of a person whose body was treated without proper respect in death — relentless, territorial, and deeply dangerous to those who cross its path. On the tabletop, it works equally well as a wandering undead threat in cursed burial grounds, a summoned instrument of revenge, or the centrepiece of a folk-horror encounter far from the typical dungeon fare. Sculpted at 32mm scale, it's equally at home on a gaming table or a display shelf.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a distinctive undead monster that doesn't look like every other skeleton or zombie
  • Are running folk-horror, cursed-village, or ancestor-worship campaign arcs
  • Want a crouching, aggressive sculpt to signal that something is very wrong in this tomb
  • Collect undead miniatures for display or painting projects

Encounter Hook:
The village elder warned the party not to disturb the old burial mounds to the east — something about unpaid debts to the dead. Three days later, a farmer's body is found at the field's edge, a single dagger wound through the chest and the earth around him pressed flat as though something had been crouching there, waiting, for a very long time.

This miniature is supplied at 32mm scale. The model and decorative base are separate pieces and can be joined with superglue — note that some sculpts are designed to interact with their base, so we recommend attaching it for the best visual result.
