Description

Two minds. One body. An ancient hunger that has outlasted kingdoms, cracked mountain ranges, and reduced dragonslayers to footnotes in forgotten histories.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Ancient Twin Dragon is a gargantuan centrepiece sculpt that brings double the dread to any encounter. This is a two-headed dragon rendered with extraordinary anatomical detail — from the overlapping scale plates rippling across its broad chest to the sharp ridgeline of dorsal spines running its length. Each neck is distinct, the twin heads snarling open-mawed with fangs bared, and the enormous membranous wings are spread wide, veined and textured with the kind of surface detail that rewards careful painting. The legs are set in a grounded, assertive stance — weight forward, claws splayed — conveying the coiled power of a creature that has no need to rush.

This is a multipart sculpt, so those broad wing spans and sweeping necks arrive cleanly without compromising the quality of the print. Both a decorative base and a plain round base are included as options, giving adventurers full control over how this beast is presented — whether you want it looming over a scenic encounter tile or mounted neutrally for a display shelf. Supported and unsupported print files are available, reflecting Epic Miniatures' commitment to giving painters and collectors the most workable print possible.

As a Gargantuan-scale model, this dragon occupies serious real estate on a battle map — and it earns every square. Whether you're brushing in warm amber tones to evoke a brass or fire dragon lineage, or going cold and pale for something more glacial, the sculpt's surface complexity gives you ample room to work wet blending, OSL, and fine-line scale work. This is the kind of miniature that becomes the centrepiece of a painting board just as readily as a gaming table.

Particularly well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Need a boss-level dragon encounter that genuinely looks the part
  • Are running a campaign arc involving an ancient or legendary dragon
  • Want a display piece that doubles as a fully functional gaming miniature
  • Are looking for a large-scale painting project with serious surface detail
  • Appreciate twin-headed creature designs for homebrew aberrant or draconic lore

Encounter Hook

The party has tracked the trail of scorched earth and shattered caravans for three days. At dawn on the fourth, they crest a ridge and see the twin-headed beast coiled around the ruins of a watchtower, both heads raised, both sets of eyes fixed on them — it was waiting. The question now is whether both minds share the same intention, or whether the party can exploit whatever disagreement lies between them.
