Exelian the Forbidden is not merely undead — it is ancient wrong made manifest. This extraordinary sculpt captures the creature mid-ascension: six grasping arms spread wide, tattered membrane-wings unfurling like a death shroud caught in a cursed gale, and a coiled serpentine lower body rising from a rubble-strewn base littered with skulls. The skull-faced visage peers from beneath a hooded cowl, framed by strips of desiccated sinew and engraved armour fragments that hint at a civilisation long consumed. Every surface ripples with anatomical horror — exposed musculature, elongated talons, and the unmistakable posture of something that has transcended death entirely and arrived somewhere far worse.
From the DM Stash Elves of the Golden Sun range, Exelian works magnificently as the centrepiece BBEG of an arc-defining boss encounter, a forbidden entity bound beneath an ancient elven ruin, or a horror that your party has been warned about for three sessions before finally facing it on the table. The sculpt is equally at home as a dramatic display piece — the dynamic silhouette and extraordinary detail reward a careful painter with layers of bone, shadow, and necrotic energy.
A great choice for adventurers who:
- Need a campaign-defining BBEG with genuine visual presence on the table
- Are running elven-ruin, ancient-civilisation, or necrotic-horror storylines
- Want a centrepiece display piece that rewards ambitious painting projects
- Are building an undead or monstrosity encounter that needs to feel truly legendary
Encounter Hook:
The wards carved into the vault door had held for four thousand years — until the party's wizard, curious about the inscription, spoke the last syllable aloud. The stone explodes outward. Six arms unfurl in the torchlight. Something that was never meant to be disturbed turns its hollow gaze toward the entrance, and the air itself goes cold.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. The model and decorative rubble base are supplied as separate pieces — the base features scattered stonework and skulls that complement the sculpt's pose, and the two are best used together. The base attaches cleanly with superglue. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming.

Mitz rolled Charisma. Simz rolled Charisma. Both succeeded. The humans had no say in any of this.
Works beautifully alongside undead hordes for complete Shadowfell campaigns — or explore more from DM Stash.
