The Amazoness Shaman is a compact force of spiritual menace. She stands in a wide, grounded stance — knees bent, weight forward — as though mid-ritual or daring someone to take another step. In her right hand she holds a carved bone wand or ritual implement; in her left, a length of twisted cord from which a small voodoo doll dangles ominously. Her headdress is extraordinary: a great spray of feathered or leaf-like blades fans upward and outward from an ornate horned mask, giving her enormous visual presence for a medium-sized creature. Armoured pauldrons and segmented leather wrap her upper body, while claw-tipped boots and a belted loincloth complete her warrior-shaman silhouette.
The sculpt rewards careful painting — the feathered headdress and mask offer rich opportunities for layering and drybrushing, while the voodoo doll is a miniature painting challenge in its own right. Whether you want her skin tone to echo jungle tribes, spectral undead colouration, or something altogether stranger, the smooth planes of the sculpt take paint beautifully. She works equally well as a formidable encounter piece on the table or as a display centrepiece on the shelf.
