Almiraj by Monster Atlas
Description
In the heart of the Feywild, where the rules of nature bend and nothing is quite what it seems, the Almiraj sits placidly in a sun-dappled glade — its single spiralling horn catching the light, its wide blank eyes watching you far too carefully for a rabbit.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Almiraj is one of those marvellous oddities that only tabletop roleplaying can fully celebrate: a creature that looks almost harmless, almost familiar, and yet is unmistakably wrong in the most enchanting way possible. This sculpt by Monster Atlas captures that quality beautifully — a thick-furred, lop-eared rabbit with a sharply twisted unicorn horn rising from its brow, its body heavy with layered fur and its expression utterly unreadable. There's a stillness to this creature that reads as either serenity or threat, and your players will struggle to decide which.
Whether you're deploying it as a wandering Feywild curiosity, a druid's unusual companion, or a deceptively dangerous forest guardian, this miniature earns its place on the table and on the shelf. The sculpt is rich with surface detail — layered fur texture, the precise spiral of the horn, and a solid, grounded pose that translates brilliantly under a brush.
Well-suited to adventurers who:
- Run Feywild or enchanted forest encounters and want creatures with genuine character
- Need an unusual beast-type monster or NPC animal companion that sparks conversation
- Enjoy painting detailed fur textures and want a rewarding miniature project
- Collect fantasy creatures for display as well as gaming
Encounter Hook:
The party has been following a wounded deer through the Whispering Wood for twenty minutes when they realise it's the same clearing — again. Sitting at the centre, grooming one enormous ear, is a horned rabbit that hasn't moved an inch. Its eye slides slowly toward the ranger. Somewhere behind them, the path home has simply ceased to exist.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The miniature and its decorative base are separate pieces and can be fixed together with superglue — the base is worth attaching, as the sculpt is designed to sit naturally with it. Arrives unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brush or striking enough to display straight from the box.
