- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Alfie is a beautifully sculpted canine miniature from Great Grimoire's Common People range, and he brings an understated warmth and grounded realism that's rare in tabletop miniatures. Depicted seated with ears alert and head raised, Alfie captures that particular quality of a dog who has seen things — a loyal companion watching the road, a clever stray who haunts the tavern steps, or a ranger's faithful hound waiting for the hunt to begin. The sculpt captures the layered texture of fur across the chest, shoulders, and haunches with impressive detail, making him equally at home on a gaming table or a display shelf.
As an NPC or environmental piece, Alfie earns his place in any campaign that values atmosphere over spectacle. He's the dog that follows the party out of town. The one that growls at the locked cellar door. The one whose disappearance marks the start of something much worse.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Play rangers, druids, or beast masters with an animal companion
- Want grounded, realistic NPC animals to populate villages, inns, or wilderness scenes
- Are building dioramas or encounter maps with lived-in environmental detail
- Collect characterful sculpts from the Common People aesthetic — ordinary lives, extraordinary moments
Encounter Hook:
The shepherd's dog has been sitting outside the miller's house for three days. It won't eat, won't move, and won't stop staring at the boarded-up window on the ground floor. The miller, everyone agrees, left town a week ago. Nobody saw him go.
Alfie is printed at 32mm scale and arrives ready to prime and paint. Two angles of the sculpt are shown in the product render — both depict the same seated pose, offering a clear view of the front and rear detail. No assembly is required.
