Description

Somewhere between the bulging alembics and the half-read grimoire, the answers are in there — if the party can decipher the alchemist's notes before the potions start bubbling on their own.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

This scatter terrain piece captures the organised chaos of a working alchemist's bench: a great open tome covered in cryptic annotations, a rack of glass vials, bulbous flasks of varying sizes, stoppered gourds, small spherical vessels, and rolled cloth bundles spread across a sturdy wooden table — all mounted on a cobblestone-textured oval base. The detail is rich enough to reward both a DM placing it on a battle map and a collector looking for a characterful display piece.

Whether it marks the laboratory of a rogue artificer, the backroom of an apothecary in the city's merchant quarter, or the abandoned workshop of a wizard who clearly left in a hurry, this piece does real narrative work at the table. It also makes a superb focal prop for diorama builders and painters who want a surface teeming with interesting detail.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Build immersive dungeon rooms, arcane laboratories, or urban interiors on their battle maps
  • Want scatter terrain that tells a story without a figure needing to be present
  • Are working on a diorama or display scene featuring an alchemist or wizard NPC
  • Enjoy painting highly detailed set-dressing pieces with lots of surface variety

Encounter Hook:
The party has broken into the laboratory of Thessaran Volk, a disgraced court alchemist rumoured to have been synthesising something the guild expressly forbade. His notes are open on the bench — but the formula is written in a cipher, and three of the larger flasks are gently pulsing with faint blue light. Someone is going to have to touch one. Someone always does.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale on a cobblestone oval base. The piece arrives as a single assembly, ready for priming and painting or use straight out of the box as bare resin. Support marks are removed prior to dispatch, though minor surface imperfections inherent to the printing process may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up with light sanding.
