Description
He has fought without a master for years, yet his armour still bears the banner of a clan that no longer exists — and someone at the tavern just recognised the crest.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Akechi cuts an imposing figure on the tabletop. This sculpt captures a veteran warrior in a wide, grounded combat stance — weight low, one hand reaching forward, the other commanding a large war banner carried at his back. His layered lamellar armour is rendered in exceptional detail, from the laced plates across his chest and shoulders to the decorative pauldrons bearing sculpted faces. A distinctive crested kabuto with a flowing maedate sits atop his head, and at his hip rests a daisho — the paired blades that mark a warrior of rank. Rope cordage wraps his midsection in the traditional style, and his greaves and sandalled feet ground the pose with authentic period character.
Whether you're running an Oriental Adventures-inspired campaign, a far-eastern setting, or simply want a formidable swordsman NPC or player character, Akechi brings immediate narrative gravity. He reads equally well as a wandering rōnin, a disgraced general seeking redemption, or a blade-for-hire with a complicated past. This is a miniature built for both the gaming table and the display shelf.
Brilliant for adventurers who:
- Need a commanding samurai or rōnin character for a far-eastern or blended fantasy setting
- Want a Fighter, Monk, or Samurai subclass player character with real presence
- Are looking for a memorable named NPC — rival, bodyguard, or honourable enemy
- Enjoy detailed historical-fantasy sculpts that reward careful painting
- Collect display miniatures from independent sculptors
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to escort a merchant through the Ashwood Pass — but when they arrive at the checkpoint, a lone armoured figure is already waiting, war banner planted in the earth beside him. He says nothing, only watches. The merchant goes pale. Whatever debt is owed between them, it predates the party's involvement — and Akechi has clearly not come to forgive it.
Akechi is printed at 32mm scale. A plain black base is included as standard; a decorative base is also available — please send us a note at checkout to let us know which of the three decorative base styles you'd prefer. The base arrives separate and can be attached easily with a small amount of glue. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming.
